Judges 6:1-12 (KJV) – Verse 12 says, “And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him (Gideon), and said unto him, “The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.” The Lord told Gideon two things:

1. I am with you. The Lord is always with us because we are His children and He keeps His promises no matter what environment we are living in.

2. The Lord called timid, fearful Gideon a “mighty man of valour.” Sometimes we don’t see ourselves as God sees us, yet He created us with greatness inside. Every child of God is created with a purpose, and every purpose that God has placed in us is “Great” because He placed it there.
