Our Mission
| “Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 Hi Families! We are excited to welcome your child(ren) to Sunday School also called Children’s Church. Children’s Church is a place where children are valued and where they have the capability of experiencing God in profound ways. We want Sunday School to be the best day of the week for everyone, especially children! We have a special place for your child in Sunday School. Your child will laugh, learn, play, explore, grow, feel loved, and won’t want to leave! Our Children’s Ministry provides a safe, spiritual and fun environment where God’s Word comes to life through creative drama, music, games, innovative lessons and more. Children learn Biblically sound doctrine in age-appropriate classes. Currently, our classes are for ages 2-5, 6-9, and 10-12. Our curriculum is Heartshaper. Please ask your children what they learned in Sunday School. We always send them with a take-home paper. After the Sunday School lesson, we provide a snack for your child(ren). Kindly let us know about any food allergies or other special needs for your child. We meet twice or three times monthly on Sundays. The children are sent to Sunday School right before the sermon. Sunday School also ministers on special occasions like Christmas, Easter, and the church anniversary. |
Abigail Richardson
Abigail Richardson has been the Superintendent of our Children’s Church since 2016. She has served in children’s ministry for over 17 years. Her love for children and passion for seeing them set on fire for Jesus is one of the driving forces behind her servant attitude towards children and families. With a smile, she encourages the children to have fun in learning, celebrate the unique way God made them, and to use their gifts to glorify God NOW. One of the many verses that are paramount for anyone dealing with children is “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ ” Matthew 19:14
Mother Grimes
Mother Grimes is the bubbly and encouraging Assistant Superintendent. Children’s Church could not be the same without her. The children and their families love her very much. Mother Grimes has over 40 years of experience in childcare. Her eye for detail and adherence to the impeccable Word of God makes her our Curricula and Trainer Extraordinaire. Her infectious love of Jesus causes her to evangelize and testify to children whether in the Church or on the highways and byways.
