The word “Deacon” means “Servant”. Deacon is not just a title. They do not have a job description except the title “Servant”, so whatever needs that are to be done that the Pastor or Elders can’t do, the Deacons take over. Acts 7, Timothy 3:1-8, Philippians 1:1. Deacons must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
