Scriptures: Acts 13:36, Acts 7:46, I Chronicle 15:1, 23, Exodus 20:24, Deuteronomy 12:3, 5 – David took time to prepare a place for God. Why? Because God desires a place to dwell/to abide with His people. God wants us to prepare a place for Him/for His presence. The most precious thing we have is the presence of God.
